Privacy Policy

FyrDraft (“FyrDraft,” “we,” “us”) provides an IP-intelligence platform that helps founders and inventors analyze and protect their inventions. We take the privacy and confidentiality of your information — especially your invention data — seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you sign up or contact us, we collect details such as your name, work email, company, role, and anything you choose to tell us about what you’re building.
- Invention and work product. When you use the product, you may submit disclosures, documents, notes, and other content about your inventions. We treat this as confidential (see Section 3).
- Usage information. We collect aggregate, largely anonymized information about how the site and product are used (pages viewed, features used, referring source) to improve the product.
- Campaign data. If you arrive from a link we’re tracking (for example a LinkedIn post), we may record the campaign parameters (UTM tags) and referring page so we can understand which efforts are working.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the FyrDraft service.
- To respond to you, set up your access, and provide support.
- To analyze aggregate usage patterns to decide which features and integrations to build next.
- To measure the effectiveness of our outreach and campaigns.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.
3. Your invention data is confidential
Your disclosures and work product are private to your account. We do not use your invention content to train AI models. We do study aggregate, anonymized behavior — what people are trying to do — to prioritize features, but that is product behavior, not your invention content. Your data is handled with enterprise-grade identity (Microsoft Entra) on Azure and a private context vault.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a small amount of analytics to understand site traffic and campaign performance. Where we use cookies or similar technologies, we aim to keep them minimal and privacy-respecting. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the service — for example our hosting and form provider (Netlify), our cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), and analytics — under contracts that require them to protect your data.
- Legal and safety reasons, where required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your information as described below.
7. Security
We use enterprise-grade authentication (Microsoft Entra), encryption in transit, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@fyrdraft.ai and we’ll respond as required by applicable law.
9. International users
We operate in the United States and may process and store your information there or in other countries where we or our providers operate. We take steps to ensure your information receives appropriate protection.
10. Children
FyrDraft is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here and revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
